India’s most trusted player Rahul Dravid known more popularly as “The Wall” is all set to say Goodbye to the international Cricket, Speculations suggests that he will announce his retirement to International Cricket tomorrow as he have called for a press conference on Friday.
Rahul Dravid has served for the nation for over 15 years as one of the most trusted batsmen and earlier to this Rahul Dravid has quit from ODI cricket in England last year. The statistics that glory to this player include 13,288 runs in 164 Test matches with an impressive average of 52.31 and is world record holder for number of Test catches which count as 210 in total.
Dravid’s Test career also include 36 centuries, 63 half centuries and his highest score counts as 270 in a match played against Pakistan and his stats in ODI’s are also impressive with 10,889 runs at an average of 39.16 in 344 matches. He also have 12 centuries and 83 half centuries to his credit.
It is to be known from the sources that Dravid is not happy with his recent performance in Australia and is more likely to quit from Cricket before he witness even worse performances. Even if Dravid is going to declare about his retirement tomorrow there is a possibility that BCCI is going to include his name in at least one of the test matches to be played against New Zealand at the home land. Despite of his decision Dravid is not leaving the Cricket completely at least for this season, as he is going to lead the Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming fifth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL-5).
