The first look of Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha starer and one of the much awaited film “Rowdy Rathore” was unveiled in an open ground at Worli. Rowdy Rathore is a remake of super successful Rajamouli’s Vikramarkudu (Telugu) and for the current flick Prabhu Deva is the director and the movie is being produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bansali.
The launch of first look and trailer of the film is done in an entirely different and a new way, despite of the star gathering including the hero and heroine of the film, the crowd went gaga over Prabhu Deva and he have danced for few moves along with Akshay Kumar while the crowd and rest of the team have applauded the act by cheering them with claps, cheers and whistles.
Akshay attended the event in the character of ‘Vikram Rathore’ with a moustache and wearing blue jeans with similar color denims and a shirt and while talking about the film he says “I am very excited about the film because I am making a comeback in action films after seven years. I am in this film industry because of my action films. It feels like I am a new comer who is trying action for the first time,” & further says “We are extremely happy to launch our first look among you all. The film has action, comedy, dance…everything”.

The film is slated for a grand release on June 1, 2012 and Akshay Kumar will be playing a dual role in this film where one character is named as “Vikram Rathore” who is a sincere police officer and in the other character he will donning the character of a mischievous thief who will fell in love with Sonakshi Sinha.
