Google Celebrates the famous British author Charles Dickens’ 200th Birthday with a Doodle on their homepage which is displayed across the world, the featured doodle is created with the literary characters created the author in his famous publications like The Chirstmas Carol, Pip from Great Expectations and others.

Today Google has linked the doodle to a search link of Google Books which displays the books published by Charles Dickens unlike the usual way where it links to the Google Search results.

Charles Dickens whose original name is Charles John Huffam Dickens was born on 7 February 1812 at Landport, in Portsea and is the second of the eight children born to John & Elizabeth Dickens is a famous English novelist, and is usually considered to be the greatest of the Victorian period.

Charles Dickens have enjoyed a wider popularity and fame than any other author during his lifetime and is responsible for some of the famous English literature’s most iconic novels and characters. Dickens dead on 9th June 1870 at Gad’s Hill PLace and according to his wish he was buried at Rochester Cathedral “in an inexpensive, unostentatious, and strictly private manner,” and was was laid to rest in the Poets’ Corner of Westminster Abbey.
