Finally a good news for Indian Apple fans, with the launch of ‘The New iPad aka iPad 3′, the company have decided to slash off the prices of Apple’s iPad 2 and this time unlike the rest the price slash is valid across the world. The pre-booking has began for The New iPad in United States and will be available in stores starting from March 16, 2012, although no official information about the launch of iPad 3 in India is not available from the Apple India’s spokesmen we came to know that it will be made available in India between May-June and pricing the details of iPad 3 in India will be revealed at the time of announcement.

Currently the iPad 2 is available at the price tag starting from Rs. 29,500 in India and will observe a price of slash of Rs. 5,000 on its base price. After the price slash the prices of iPad 2 will be Rs. 24,500 for Wi-fi 16 GB model and Rs. 32,900 for the 16 GB wi-fi + 3G model.
Apple India in a press release says that “… iPad 2 is now offered at a more affordable price of INR 24,500, inc VAT for the 16GB Wi-Fi model (INR 23,333 exVAT) and just INR 32,900, inc VAT for the 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G model (INR 31,333 exVAT).”
At this price it gives a tough competition to the Samsung Galaxy Tab which also offers similar features and specifications and will stay a head in the race.
