The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Team India’s official sponsor Sahara India have finally settled with the differences which started on the eve of IPL bidding, and Today on Thursday, Sahara India have announced that it will continue to sponsor Indian Cricket team and beyond that they also said that they will continue to stay with Pune Warriors and finalized the involvement of Pune Warriors in IPL 5 (current season).

According to media reports, DesiEdition Team have learned that BCCI have agreed to extend trading in IPL till February 29, 2012, which will allow Sahara India to negotiate with other franchises to strengthen Pune Warriors team and with the ‘new deal’ between BCCI and Sahara India allows Sahara to add partners for their IPL franchisee. And to add further Sahara has also requested BCCI for bank guarantee which comprises of two installments and BCCI have accepted to consider their request and is evaluating further on the possibilities and BCCI has also agreed to allow one pay-off IPL game to be played in Pune.

Yesterday’s meeting between Sahara India and BCCI seemed to be fruitful and the representatives of Sahara & BCCI were locked in a marathon meeting at Sahara’s five-star facility in Santacruz which ended after washing out the differences raised between both the parties. The people who indulged in these discussions include BCCI treasurer Ajay Shirke, IPL CEO Sundar Raman, Sahara chief Subrata Roy’s two sons Sushanto Roy & Seemanto Roy and Abhijit Sarkar of Head Corporation Communications.
