The markets have ended in the green for a fifth straight day amid positive global cues with the Sensex gaining over 102 points (0.58 p.c) and closing at 17707.31 and the NIFTY gaining 35.8 points (0.67 p.c) and closing at 5361.65.
Metals, Realty and Capital Goods sectors lead today’s rally. Hindustan Unilever was down by 3.57 p.c and closed at 387.05 though it has posted positive Q3 results over the market expectations. Beleaguered SKS micro finance hit the 10 p.c upper circuit closing at 98.45 and United Spirits brew by 5.61 p.c and closed at 753.35.
ACC (up by 5.74 p.c), Ambuja Cements (up by 5.22 p.c), Siemens (up by 4.01 p.c), Cairn (up by 3.53 p.c) and Jindal Steel (up by 3.50 p.c) were the top performers of the day on NIFTY.
Tata Power (down by 4.26 p.c), Hindustan Unilever (down by 3.20 p.c), Sun Pharma (down by 2.03 p.c), Dr. Reddy’s (down by 1.73 p.c) and Reliance Infrastructure (down by 1.71 p.c) were the top losers of the day on NIFTY.
