Today could be termed as some-what good day for stock market as it had managed to recover almost half of its losses that incurred in early sessions of the market by the time market closes and finally posts a loss of 82 points when compared to earlier day’s closing and BSE benchmark tolls at 17,748.69 where as National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty fell by 30.75 points, with 0.57 per cent downfall and closed at 5,381.60 as investors are more interested in booking profits with the recent market gains.
Tata Steel with an increase of 5.06%, SAIL with an increase of 3.95%, Sesa Goa with an increase of 2.44%, Bajaj Auto with an increase of 2.02% and HCL Technologies with an increase of 1.13% managed to be top gainers at NSE and stocks of Tata Steel with an increase of 5.30%, Bajaj Auto with an increase of 2.10%, Wipro with an increase of 0.80%, TCS with an increase of 0.29% and ITC with an increase of 0.17% geared up with profits at BSE.
While the prominent losers include Hindalco, Ambuja Cements, Reliance Infra, ACC, Jaiprakash Associates, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance Industries & ICICI Bank.
